South Nodaway Longhorns (Barnard, MO) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] (Tarkio, MO), 56-26 in a league battle.

With the win, South Nodaway advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Longhorns travel to South Holt (Oregon, MO) to encounter the Knights in a 275 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 4. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 4-1. South Holt lost 68-20 in their recent league battle against Rock Port (Rock Port, MO)

The now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Stewartsville for a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] will encounter a Cardinals team coming off a 52-14 league loss to DeKalb (DeKalb, MO). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-5.
