The Wilbur Cross Governors football team (New Haven, CT), was crushed 49-8 in Thursday's non-league bout with the visiting Enfield Eagles (Enfield, CT)

With the win, Enfield advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Eagles host Simsbury (Simsbury, CT) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, October 4. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Simsbury lost 18-15 in their recent non-league bout against Fitch (Groton, CT)

The Governors now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Amity Regional for a non-league bout on Friday, October 4. Wilbur Cross will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 28-14 league win over Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 3-0.
