In their next game, the Griffins face the Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 28. Lincoln-Way East will attempt to improve on its 5-0 season record. The Grenadiers enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 8-8 non-league Maine West (Des Plaines, IL).

The Vikings (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL). The Boilermakers enter the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Bradley-Bourbonnais bounced Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL), 30-14, in a non-league challenge.
