Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Champlin Park Rebels (Champlin, MN), 2-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Elk River moves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Elks host Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN) to meet the Sabres in a non-league test on Saturday, September 28. The Sabres come into the test with a record of 6-2.

The Rebels now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Blaine for a Class AA Section 7 test on Saturday, September 28. Champlin Park will meet a Bengals team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN). The Bengals record now stands at 3-9.
