In their next game, the Cowboys face the Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) in a challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Southwest Guilford will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Nighthawks go into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 8-6 non-league win over Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC).

The Hornets (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Grimsley (Greensboro, NC). The Whirlies go into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Grimsley toppled Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 38-6, in a non-league challenge.
