In Thursday's league challenge, the host Coal Ridge Titans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Grand Valley Cardinals.

The Titans (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Aspen (Aspen, CO). The Skiers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Aspen was nudged by Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals play the Caprock Academy Eagles (Grand Junction, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Grand Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record.
