The Central Christian Comets soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host Chippewa Chipps to 0 in the Comets non-league victory on Thursday.

The Comets now hold a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Rootstown for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 28. Central Christian will play a Rovers squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Lake Center Christian (Hartville, OH). The Rovers record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Chippewa moves to 4-9 on the year. The Chipps host Smithville (Smithville, OH) to play the Smithies in a Wayne County bout on Tuesday, October 1. The Smithies go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Smithville won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Rittman (Rittman, OH)
