First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, First Flight moves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Holmes (Edenton, NC) to clash with the Aces in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A test on Monday, September 30. The Aces come into the test with a record of 11-4. Holmes lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Currituck County (Barco, NC)

The Cougars now sport a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Swansboro for a Coastal 3A test on Tuesday, October 1. Croatan will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Coastal Christian (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 6-4.
