The Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) soccer nipped the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Panthers now hold a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethel for a Southwest - Colonial game on Tuesday, October 1. Pomperaug will face a Wildcats team coming off a 6-0 league win over Stratford (Stratford, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-0.

The Trojans (5-3) will now prepare for their game against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT). The Rebels come into the Southwest - Patriot game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, New Fairfield edged Notre Dame Prep (Fairfield, CT), 4-0, in a league game.
