The Hornets now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Penney for a non-league battle on Monday, September 30. Chillicothe will confront a Hornets team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Plattsburg (Plattsburg, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, Benton moves to 9-7 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Cameron (Cameron, MO) to confront the Dragons in a Class 3 District 16 battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Dragons come into the battle with a record of 6-7. Cameron lost 12-2 in their recent league battle against Lafayette (St. Joseph, MO)
