Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Gig Harbor Tides (Gig Harbor, WA) and the host River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA), observed Gig Harbor's volleyball team top River Ridge by a count of 3-0.

The Tides (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Thurston (Lacey, WA). The Rams enter the 3A/4A South Puget Sound contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, North Thurston notched a victory over Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, WA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hawks battle the Central Kitsap Cougars (Silverdale, WA) in a 3A/4A South Puget Sound contest, on Monday, September 30. River Ridge will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 5-2 record after their 3-2 league win over Timberline (Lacey, WA).
