The Spartans (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pella Christian (Pella, IA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 16-6 record. In their last bout, Pella Christian nipped Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA), 3-1, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Grinnell drops to 10-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 1. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 9-7.
