Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), observed Indian River's volleyball team top Nansemond River by a count of 3-0.

The Braves (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets enter the Southeastern contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Deep Creek was knocked off by Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern outing, on Tuesday, October 1. Nansemond River will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Hawks come into the outing with a 7-2 record after their 3-2 league win over Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA).
