In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Luverne Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the St. James Saints.
The Cardinals (4-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Pipestone (Pipestone, MN). The Arrows come into the Big South - West challenge with a 2-19 record. In their last challenge, Pipestone was beaten by Marshall (Marshall, MN), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Saints meet the Jackson County Central Huskies (Jackson, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. St. James will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
