In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Schoharie Storm.

The Golden Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnstown (Johnstown, NY). The Sir Bills come into the Section 2 Western - Northern challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Johnstown lost by Canajoharie/Fort Plain (Canajoharie, NY), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Storm play the Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks (Fonda, NY) in a Section 2 Western - Northern challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Schoharie will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Valley Hawks come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Mayfield (Mayfield, NY).
