Texas High School Football - Caprock crushed by Abilene

September 26, 2025: Amarillo, TX 79103

The Abilene Eagles walloped the host Caprock Longhorns football team by a score of 42-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles play the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 2 test, on Friday, October 3. Abilene will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Sandies come into the test with a 4-1 record after their 37-21 league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX).

With the defeat, Caprock drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX) to meet the Sandies in a 5A-1 Region I District 2 test on Thursday, October 9. The Sandies come into the test with a record of 4-1.
