John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad edge the visiting Archbishop Rummel Raiders (Metairie, LA), 21-19 in a league match.
The Patriots (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Warren Easton (New Orleans, LA). The Fighting Eagles enter the 5A District 9 match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Warren Easton was nudged by St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA), 47-22, in a league match.
The Raiders now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Brother Martin for a 5A District 9 battle on Friday, October 3. Archbishop Rummel will play a Crusaders team coming off a 31-29 league win over Jesuit (New Orleans, LA). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-0.
