North Carolina High School Football - Bandys can't hold off Newton-Conover

September 26, 2025: Catawba, NC 28609

The Newton-Conover Red Devils got by the host Bandys Trojans football team by a score of 36-35 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Devils play the North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge, on Friday, October 3. Newton-Conover will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 49-6 league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC).

The Trojans (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Foard (Newton, NC). The Tigers go into the Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Foard was edged by Maiden (Maiden, NC), 47-0, in a league challenge.
