In Friday's league game, the Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) football team overcame the host Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), by a tally of 36-24.

In their next game, the Whalers face the Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) in a Mid Alaska outing, on Saturday, October 4. Barrow will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Kardinals come into the outing with a 3-4 record after their 44-6 league loss to Homer (Homer, AK).
