Connecticut High School Football - Bassick toppled by Weston

The Bassick Lions football squad (Bridgeport, CT), was outscored 50-26 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT)

The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bunnell (Stratford, CT). The Bulldogs enter the South-West contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Bunnell was outscored by New Canaan (New Canaan, CT), 27-7, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Hillhouse Academics (New Haven, CT) in a Southern Connecticut bout, on Friday, October 3. Bassick will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Academics go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 41-0 non-league win over Amistad (New Haven, CT).
