The Blooming Grove Lions football team (Blooming Grove, TX), dropped 35-6 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Clifton Cubs (Clifton, TX)

With the win, Clifton advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Cubs travel to Eastland (Eastland, TX) to encounter the Mavericks in a 3A-2 Region II District 5 bout on Friday, October 10. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Eastland lost 32-7 in their recent non-league bout against Hawley (Hawley, TX)

Coming up next, the Lions battle the Inspired Vision EAGLES (Dallas, TX) in a 3A-2 Region II District 8 contest, on Friday, October 3. Blooming Grove will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The EAGLES enter the contest with a 0-4 record after their 56-0 non-league loss to Cayuga (Cayuga, TX).
