Texas High School Football - Gilmer crushed by Brenham

September 26, 2025: Gilmer, TX 75644

The Brenham Cubs walloped the host Gilmer Buckeyes football team by a score of 49-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cubs play the Waco Lions (Waco, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Brenham will attempt to improve on its 5-0 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 0-5 record after their 48-6 non-league loss to San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX).

With the defeat, Gilmer drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Buckeyes host Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX) to meet the Pirates in a 4A-2 Region II District 7 challenge on Friday, October 10. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Pittsburg won 23-20 in their recent non-league outing against Dallas Christian (Mesquite, TX)
