The Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX) football knocked off the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 29-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Sandcrabs now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Vernia for a 4A-1 Region IV District 15 game on Friday, October 10. Calhoun will battle a Bears team coming off a 63-21 non-league win over Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX). The Bears record now stands at 4-1.

The (8-59) will now prepare for their game against Magnolia (Terry, MS). The Wildcats come into the Mid-South Christian (8 Man) outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Magnolia was knocked off by Meridian HomeSchool (Meridian, MS), 50-48, in a league outing.
