    The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX) and the host Callisburg Wildcats (Gainesville, TX), saw Leonard's football team bounce Callisburg by a final score of 49-6.

    With the win, Leonard advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Tigers host Howe (Howe, TX) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 3A-2 Region II District 7 bout on Friday, October 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Howe won 62-21 in their recent league bout against S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX)

    The Wildcats now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bells for a 3A-2 Region II District 7 bout on Friday, October 3. Callisburg will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 50-7 league loss to Gunter (Gunter, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
