    • Alabama High School Football - IMG Academy trounces Central

    September 26, 2025: Phenix City, AL 36870

    In Friday's non-league match, the visiting IMG Academy Ascenders football squad scored a decisive 49-14 victory over the Central Red Devils.

    The Ascenders (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Venice (Venice, FL). The Indians enter the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Venice walloped Lehigh (Lehigh Acres, FL), 51-0, in a league battle.

    The Red Devils now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Auburn for a 7A Region 2 battle on Friday, October 3. Central will play a Tigers team coming off a 41-7 non-league win over Moody (Moody, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-1.
