New Mexico High School Football - Manzano loses to Chaparral

Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), 27-16 in a league battle.

With the win, Chaparral advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Lobos host Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a 4A District 2 match on Friday, October 3. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 3-3. Valencia lost 51-14 in their recent league match against Portales (Portales, NM)

Coming up next, the Monarchs confront the Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 2 match, on Saturday, October 11. Manzano will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
