North Carolina High School Football - Chase overwhelmed by R-S Central

September 26, 2025: Forest City, NC 28043

In Friday's league game, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) football team triumphed over the host Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), by a tally of 42-7.

The Hilltoppers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers enter the Western Piedmont 3A/4A contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Patton crushed Draughn (Valdese, NC), 31-0, in a league contest.

Next up, the Trojans encounter the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout, on Friday, October 3. Chase will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 37-8 league win over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC).
