The Chatfield Gophers overwhelmed the visiting Rushford-Peterson Trojans football squad by a margin of 35-0 in Friday's league test.
The Gophers now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. Charles for a Southeast Central - Yellow test on Friday, October 3. Chatfield will meet a Fighting Saints squad coming off a 56-0 league loss to Triton (Dodge Center, MN). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 1-4.
With the defeat, Rushford-Peterson falls to 2-3 on the year. The Trojans travel to Lourdes (Rochester, MN) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, October 3. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Lourdes lost 32-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Caledonia (Caledonia, MN)
