Weeki Wachee Hornets (Weeki Wachee, FL) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad smash the host Citrus Hurricanes (Inverness, FL), 47-3 in a league match.

The Hornets (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Hollins (St. Petersburg, FL). The Royals come into the non-league match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Hollins was routed by Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL), 48-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Hurricanes play the Lecanto Panthers (Lecanto, FL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 3. Citrus will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 3-3 record after their 20-3 league loss to Vanguard (Ocala, FL).
