Wisconsin High School Football - Columbus trounces Clinton

In Friday's league match, the host Columbus Cardinals football squad scored a decisive 42-0 victory over the Clinton Cougars.

The Cardinals (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI). The L-Cats enter the Capitol match with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Lake Mills was crushed by Lodi (Lodi, WI), 24-7, in a league battle.

The Cougars now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Big Foot for a Capitol battle on Friday, October 3. Clinton will play a Chiefs team coming off a 40-14 league loss to Horicon/Hustisford (Horicon, WI). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-5.
