Indiana High School Football - Floyd Central defeats Columbus East

September 26, 2025: Columbus, IN 47201

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN) and the host Columbus East Olympians (Columbus, IN), witnessed Floyd Central's football squad topple Columbus East by a count of 56-28.

With the win, Floyd Central advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Highlanders host Bedford North Lawrence (Bedford, IN) to encounter the Stars in a Hoosier Hills battle on Friday, October 3. The Stars go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Bedford North Lawrence won 63-0 in their recent league battle against Jennings County (North Vernon, IN)

The Olympians now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloomington North for a non-league match on Friday, October 3. Columbus East will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 36-3 non-league win over Jeffersonville (Jeffersonville, IN). The Cougars record now stands at 3-3.
