The Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) football knocked off the visiting Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS), 17-6 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Rockets now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenville for a 6A Region 2 contest on Friday, October 10. Neshoba Central will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 44-16 non-league win over Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Falcons battle the Caledonia Cavaliers (Caledonia, MS) in a 5A Region 1 contest, on Friday, October 10. Columbus will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 0-5 record after their 43-23 non-league loss to East Webster (Maben, MS).
