North Carolina High School Football - Piedmont knocked off by Cuthbertson

September 26, 2025: Waxhaw, NC 28173

In Friday's league game, the Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) football team overcame the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a tally of 23-8.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a Southern Carolina 6A/7A game, on Friday, October 3. Cuthbertson will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Spartans come into the outing with a 2-3 record after their 21-6 league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).

With the defeat, Piedmont drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a Southern Carolina 6A/7A outing on Friday, October 3. The Pirates come into the outing with a record of 4-2. Porter Ridge lost 14-13 in their recent league outing against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)
