Oregon High School Football - Taft can't hold off Dayton

Dayton Pirates (Dayton, OR) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), 20-14 in a league match.

The Pirates (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Salem Academy (Salem, OR). The Crusaders come into the 3A Special District 2 match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Salem Academy tipped Scio (Scio, OR), 22-20, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Scio Loggers (Scio, OR) in a 3A Special District 2 battle, on Friday, October 3. Taft will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Loggers go into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 22-20 league loss to Salem Academy (Salem, OR).
