    • Arizona High School Football - Desert Edge defeats Mountain Pointe

    September 26, 2025: Goodyear, AZ 85338

    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) and the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), witnessed Desert Edge's football squad topple Mountain Pointe by a count of 35-7.

    The Scorpions (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Canyon View (Waddell, AZ). The Jaguars enter the 5A Desert West contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Canyon View thwarted Camelback (Phoenix, AZ), 35-0, in a non-league contest.

    Coming up next, the Pride confront the Arizona College Prep Knights (Chandler, AZ) in a 5A San Tan battle, on Friday, October 3. Mountain Pointe will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 5-0 record after their 44-21 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ).
