Alabama High School Football - New Hope crushed by Douglas

September 26, 2025: New Hope, AL 35760

Douglas Eagles (Douglas, AL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), 41-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Douglas improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Eagles host Arab (Arab, AL) to play the Knights in a 5A Region 8 battle on Friday, October 3. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Arab lost 35-27 in their recent non-league battle against Madison Academy (Madison, AL)

With the defeat, New Hope drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL) to meet the Falcons in a 4A Region 8 test on Thursday, October 2. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 1-4. St. John Paul II lost 44-14 in their recent league test against Randolph School (Huntsville, AL)
