Ohio High School Football - Lucas can't hold off Elgin

September 26, 2025: Marion, OH 43302

Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Lucas Cubs (Lucas, OH), 18-15 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Elgin improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Comets travel to Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH) to play the Tigers in a Northwest Central battle on Friday, October 3. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Waynesfield-Goshen won 14-6 in their recent league battle against Cory-Rawson (Rawson, OH)

The Cubs now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Reynolds for a non-league battle on Friday, October 10.
