Illinois High School Football - Mercer County falls to Erie

The Erie Cardinals felled the host Mercer County Golden Eagles football squad by a count of 43-15 in Friday's league test.
The Cardinals now hold a 3-2 record.
With the defeat, Mercer County drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL) to meet the Comets in a Three Rivers - Rock test on Saturday, October 4. The Comets come into the test with a record of 4-1. Newman Central Catholic lost 26-6 in their recent league test against Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL)
