In their next game, the Tigers face the De Leon Bearcats (De Leon, TX) in a 2A-1 Region II District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Hico will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the test with a 3-2 record after their 47-16 non-league loss to Muenster (Muenster, TX).

With the defeat, Florence drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Llano (Llano, TX) to meet the Yellowjackets in a 3A-1 Region IV District 13 test on Friday, October 3. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 4-1. Llano won 41-0 in their recent non-league test against Comfort (Comfort, TX)
