The Valley Vikings football team (New Kensington, PA), was crushed 42-7 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA)

With the win, Freeport advances its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA) to confront the Golden Rams in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 7 match on Friday, October 3. The Golden Rams come into the match with a record of 3-3. Highlands won 35-0 in their recent league match against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 7 battle, on Friday, October 3. Valley will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record. The Bucs go into the battle with a 2-4 record after their 29-28 league win over East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA).
