Gaither Cowboys (Tampa, FL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football squad smash the host Wesley Chapel Wildcats (Wesley Chapel, FL), 50-7 in a league match.

The Cowboys (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Eagles come into the 5A District 7 match with a 3-2 record.

Coming up next, the Wildcats meet the Forest Wildcats (Ocala, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 3. Wesley Chapel will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 30-25 league loss to South Lake (Groveland, FL).
