New Mexico High School Football - Gateway Christian triumphant over Mescalero Apache

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Gateway Christian Warriors (Roswell, NM) and the host Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM), saw Gateway Christian's football team bounce Mescalero Apache by a final score of 70-16.

With the win, Gateway Christian advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Melrose (Melrose, NM) to encounter the Buffaloes in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) bout on Friday, October 3. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Melrose won 28-14 in their recent league contest against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM)

Coming up next, the Chiefs battle the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 3. Mescalero Apache will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Mavericks enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 52-14 league loss to Tatum (Tatum, NM).
