The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hoboken Redwings (Hoboken, NJ) and the visiting Glen Ridge Ridgers (Glen Ridge, NJ), witnessed Hoboken's football squad edge Glen Ridge by a count of 21-14.

The Redwings (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Verona (Verona, NJ). The Hillbillies enter the Super - National Red contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Verona was nudged by Newark Central (Newark, NJ), 26-7, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Ridgers confront the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a Super - National Red contest, on Saturday, October 4. Glen Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 65-59 league win over Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ).
