The Seaside Spartans football squad scored 21 points and limited the visiting Gonzales Spartans to 14 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now hold a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Cruz for a Pacific Coast - Santa Lucia test on Friday, October 3. Seaside will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 44-19 league win over Pajaro Valley (Watsonville, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-3.
With the defeat, Gonzales drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Rancho San Juan (Salinas, CA) to meet the Trailblazers in a non-league test on Friday, October 10. The Trailblazers come into the test with a record of 1-3.
