Mississippi High School Football - Hernando nudged by Lafayette

In Friday's non-league game, the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) football team edged the visiting Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS), by a tally of 17-12.

In their next game, the Commodores battle the PURE Academy Royals (Memphis, TN) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 3. Lafayette will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 21-7 non-league loss to Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN).

The Tigers now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Horn Lake for a 7A Region 1 bout on Friday, October 3. Hernando will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 21-14 non-league win over South Panola (Batesville, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
