Alabama High School Football - Holt trounces Pickens Academy

In Friday's non-league match, the host Holt Ironmen football squad scored a decisive 39-7 victory over the Pickens Academy Pirates.
The Ironmen (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Fairfield (Fairfield, AL). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 4 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Fairfield walloped Selma (Selma, AL), 51-24, in a non-league battle.
The Pirates now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Belgreen for a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. Pickens Academy will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
