    • Mississippi High School Football - Houston overwhelmed by New Hope

    September 26, 2025: Columbus, MS 39702

    The New Hope Trojans walloped the visiting Houston Hilltoppers football team by a score of 63-18 in Friday's non-league challenge.

    In their next game, the Trojans face the Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 3. New Hope will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 40-21 non-league loss to Shannon (Shannon, MS).

    With the defeat, Houston drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Amory (Amory, MS) to face the Panthers in a 4A Region 2 outing on Friday, October 3. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 2-3. Amory won 53-6 in their recent non-league outing against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
