The Warriors (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA). The Scarlets go into the 5A Group 1 bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Des Moines East was outscored by Northwest (Waukee, IA), 63-6, in a league contest.

Next up, the Little Hawks encounter the Southeast Polk Rams (Pleasant Hill, IA) in a 5A Group 1 bout, on Friday, October 3. Iowa City will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 70-6 league win over Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA).
