The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Philip Scotties (Philip, SD) and the host Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD), witnessed Philip's football squad wallop Jones County by a count of 51-0.
The Scotties (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hill City (Hill City, SD). The Rangers go into the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Hill City walloped Bennett County (Martin, SD), 26-14, in a non-league battle.
The Coyotes now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wall for a Western Great Plains (9 Man) battle on Friday, October 3. Jones County will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 56-6 non-league win over Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Eagles record now stands at 5-0.
