The Kimball Cubs football team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints to 0 in the Cubs league win on Friday.
In their next game, the Cubs face the Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN) in a Mid South - Teal challenge, on Friday, October 3. Kimball will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 46-6 non-league win over New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN).
The Fighting Saints (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Eden Valley-Watkins (Eden Valley, MN). The Eagles come into the Mid South - Teal test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Eden Valley-Watkins triumphed over St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN), 18-12, in a league test.
